The Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanum Guerberesus, confirmed that the organization had intensified its health response in Gaza after the ceasefire agreement was valid.
On Saturday, Gebrisos added on the X 'platform that 70,000 liters of fuel were delivered to the Strip this week, allowing to keep 20 health facilities and partially operating hospitals in Gaza and ambulances at work.
He added that the World Health Organization has brought basic medical supplies from its stock in Gaza to six hospitals and medical points, and to 21 medical teams in the north and south of the sector.
He pointed out that these resources are sufficient to provide 50,000 patients with care for motherhood, treatment of shocks, malnutrition, and non -infectious diseases and to improve the prevention of infection in health facilities.
Gebrisos stressed that the circumstances in Gaza are still difficult, noting that relief operations are still complicated.
He explained that the World Health Organization teams continue their commitment to deliver the required medical supplies urgently and enable the health system in Gaza to recover at a time
