A meeting in Amran Governorate today, headed by Governor Dr. Faisal Jaman, discussed the performance, activities, and plans of the General Corporation for Agricultural Services in the governorate.
The meeting, which included the Director of the Corporation Abdullah Salia, reviewed the Corporation's interventions in providing agricultural production requirements, especially the localization of locally manufactured fertilizers and pesticides, as well as agricultural transportation services in coordination with relevant authorities.
The meeting touched on the Corporation's activities during the year 2024 AD, which were represented in the mechanism of working with agricultural associations, in improving agricultural production in reducing costs, raising quality and creating markets and marketing windows for local products.
In the meeting, Governor Jaman praised the efforts of the Corporation's leadership despite the difficulties and challenges that the country is going through.. Pointing out the importance of developing institutional and service work and improving administrative and marketing performance in a way that achieves the Corporation's desired goals in agricultural development.
The Governor of Amran stressed the need to double efforts, enhance coordination move towards food security, and reduce the import bill in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the plans of the government and local authority in this field.
