Dr. Hamoud Abad, the Mayor of the Capital, along with the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee, Hamoud Al-Naqib, inaugurated on Wednesday the official work of the radio station "Wai FM" on frequency 98.1 of the Capital Secretariat , the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in the Secretariat.
Abad and Al-Naqeeb, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Secretariat, Ali Al-Lahji, reviewed the components of the radio station, including a studio, technical , engineering equipment, listened to an explanation of the radio's plan and its daily program plan from the Executive Director of the Cleaning Fund, Mohammed Sharaf, and Radio Director Abdullah Al-Faieq.
Abad announced that the Capital Secretariat will support the radio station with five million riyals to complete its needs. He expressed the hope that "Awareness" radio will be an important start in raising community awareness and highlighting the great faith values embodied in cleanliness.
He called on citizens to make cleanliness a religious value and for everyone to contribute to keeping the streets and neighborhoods clean to embody the values, morals and Yemenis identity. He considered what Awareness Radio is doing as an important work to serve the cleanliness efforts in the Capital Secretariat.
