An Iraqi security source said on Monday that seven giant American cargo planes landed at the building of Ain al-Asad air base west of Anbar.
The source said in a statement to the Iraqi "Information" agency: "The base of Ain al-Assad in the district of Baghdadi in the district of Hit, witnessed the landing of seven giant American carrying planes dedicated to transporting soldiers and military vehicles."
He added: "The Ain al-Assad base has not witnessed such a decline movement for years, which is an indication of the existence of military action that US forces may carry out in the coming days."
"The Ain al-Assad base witnessed an unusual movement of transport warplanes that landed inside the base building amid unprecedented precautionary measures," he said.
"US warplanes began flying heavily over the base building to provide security protection for these aircraft," he said.
