Sana'a - Saba:
The Martyr Mohammed Al-Durra Hospital in Jahana District, Sana'a Governorate, provided medical, health and treatment services to more than 57,159 patients in various departments and outpatient clinics during the period from January to September, 2024.

The number of surgical operations reached 701 in the form of general surgery; obstetrics and gynecology; ear, nose and throat; eyes and bones, said a report seen by Saba.

The number of cases from families of martyrs, guards and the wounded, who were provided with free medical, health and treatment services, reached 1,659 cases.

The hospital administration also set up two medical camps to treat eye and ear diseases, as 487 patients benefited from their services.

The hospital administration has been keen to provide excellent services that meet the community's requirements in terms of quality and reduced costs. It has worked to attract consultants and specialists, and to create new clinics and new services, despite the blockade and the lack of financial resources, in the health sector in particular.

Dermatology, eye, bone, ear, nose and throat clinics were recently created and provided with consultants and specialists, the hospital director told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), as the dental department was also equipped with 4 chairs and 4 male and female doctors. Dr. Talal Al-Jabri added that the hospital would be provided with a digital X-ray machine, at a cost of $60,000, in the coming days, funded by the Binaa Foundation.

He stated that water and sanitation services rehabilitation work would be implemented in the coming days, through UNICEF, at an estimated cost of $29,000.

"Follow-up is ongoing and work is underway to complete the modernization of the laboratory department, provide it with modern devices, and to complete construction work in the general emergency department," he added.

Dr. al-Jabri noted that self-improvement and maintenance work was carried out in the hospital, which included construction work and maintenance of "C-arm" devices, sterilization and purchase of a "CTG" device, financial system and devices, network connection for the system, furnishing the quality management and the meeting hall at a cost of 12 million riyals.

Al-Jabri appreciated the support of the governorate's leadership and the health office in the governorate, and their keenness to overcome the difficulties that hinder the hospital's work, by providing all forms of support and assistance.

It is worth noting that the Martyr Mohammed Al-Durrah Hospital is considered a pivotal hospital that serves five districts through its clinics of internal medicine; children; eyes; dermatology; orthopedics; general surgery; obstetrics and gynecology; ear, nose and throat; dental and emergency.

The hospital also provides its technical services through the following diagnostic departments: radiology "TV - X-ray"; laboratory and blood bank; and ECG, in addition to the departments of operations; hospitalization; nursery; intensive care; general and Obstetric Emergencies; primary and preventive health care services. A cholera treatment department was recently established.
