HANOI - SABA: The Vietnam News Agency reported that Typhoon Yagi, the strongest in 30 years, has led to the deaths or disappearances of 324 people in northern Vietnam due to severe floods and landslides.

Lao Cai Province was heavily impacted, with 72 dead and 111 missing. A massive landslide in Langnu village, Baoin District, resulted in 30 deaths and 18 injuries, with 83 people still unaccounted for.

The typhoon caused significant flooding, affecting over 54,000 homes across northern cities and provinces.
