NABLUS September 06. 2024 (Saba) – A Palestinian girl was martyred Friday evening during a settler attack in the town of Qaryut, located southern Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.
The attack was conducted under the protection of Zionist forces.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, 13-year-old Bana Amjad Bakr was critically injured by live ammunition in the chest during clashes between settlers and occupation forces.
She was rushed to Rafidia Governmental Surgical Hospital in Nablus, where doctors declared her dead due to her injuries.
The girl's father reported that she was hit by live bullets while in her room with her sisters.
Earlier in the day, a 34-year-old man sustained a hand injury from live bullets, and a 30-year-old man suffered bruises after being assaulted by settlers.
Local sources indicated that settlers had stormed Qaryut, attacking homes in the southern part of the village and throwing stones.
They also reported that settlers, known as well as occupiers, set fire to lands in the village.
With the martyrdom of Bana Bakr, the number of Palestinian martyrs in the West Bank since October 7 has risen to 692, including 159 children, along with an American activist, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
