MOSCOW September 06. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced Friday that its armed forces thwarted attacks by Kiev regime forces during the past 24 hours on the Kursk axis, which lost about 300 soldiers and 12 armored vehicles.
The ministry said in its daily report on developments in Kursk: Russian forces repelled two attacks launched by Ukrainian attack groups towards the towns of Matveyevka and Olgovka, and thwarted attempts to attack towards the towns of Borki, Komarovka and Mariyevka, and Kiev regime forces lost about 30 soldiers between dead and wounded in those battles, and an armored personnel carrier, two armored combat vehicles and two cars were destroyed.
It added: Russian airstrikes and artillery fire targeted Ukrainian forces around 14 towns and villages in the Kursk border areas, while tactical aviation and missile forces launched strikes on areas where Ukrainian soldiers and military equipment were stationed around 15 population centers in the territory of the neighboring Ukrainian Sumy region.
The total losses suffered by Ukrainian forces on the Kursk axis since the beginning of the fighting amount to more than 10,400 soldiers, 81 tanks, 41 infantry fighting vehicles, 74 armored personnel carriers and 24 rocket launchers.
