NEW YORK September 05. 2024 (Saba)- Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Irwani, has rejected all allegations by the United States, Britain and France regarding "Iranian arms sales, exports and transfers to Russia."
In a letter to the UN Security Council last night, Irwani said: "The United States and its allies cannot hide the fact that it is the sending of Western and sophisticated weapons, especially by the United States, that has prolonged the war in Ukraine , harmed civilians and civilian infrastructure."
He continued: "It is laughable that three countries that are directly intervening in the Ukrainian war and contributing to the conflict there are brazenly claiming that the Islamic Republic is interfering in this Ukrainian war." He emphasized Tehran's strict commitment to comply with international humanitarian law.
Bloomberg also claimed two days ago, citing unnamed sources, that European officials "expect Iran to deliver Iranian-made ballistic missiles to Russia soon for use in the war against Ukraine."
Iran has repeatedly rejected allegations that it is supporting Russia militarily in the war in Ukraine. "These allegations are part of the incitement directed against the Islamic Republic."
