ISTANBUL September 03. 2024 (Saba) — The Turkish General Intelligence Directorate (MIT) has announced the arrest of Liridon Rexhepi, a Kosovar national and the alleged director of the Mossad's financial network in Turkey. Rexhepi was detained in a high-security operation in Istanbul.
According to MIT, Rexhepi is suspected of managing financial transactions for Mossad operatives in Turkey, who are engaged in complex intelligence missions.
These operations reportedly include drone surveillance and psychological warfare targeting Palestinian politicians.
The network is also believed to have been involved in gathering sensitive intelligence related to Syria.
The arrest represents a significant setback for Mossad operations in Turkey and highlights the growing efforts of Turkish intelligence to dismantle foreign networks operating within its borders.
This action underscores the escalating intelligence tensions between Turkey and the Zionist entity amid ongoing regional complexities.
The operation is part of Turkey's broader strategy to bolster national security and address external threats, with security services intensifying efforts to uncover and neutralize activities jeopardizing the country’s stability.
