SANA'A August 31. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in Sana'a , chaired by the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Mujahid Ahmed Abdullah, discussed on Saturday the human rights sector role during the current stage, especially with regard to prison issues, children and combating human trafficking.
At the meeting, which was attended by the leadership and general managers of the human rights sector, Minister Mujahid Ahmed listened to a detailed explanation of the human rights sector role and its tasks, especially human rights issues, prisons, children and combating human trafficking.
At the meeting, the Minister of Justice directed the preparation of a report on the strategic roles of the human rights sector.
He noted the positive role played by the sector during the past period in human rights and humanitarian work and the difficulties and obstacles it faced during the performance of its human rights and humanitarian tasks.
He also directed to quickly submit a detailed plan on work programs and requirements in the next phase and prepare a comprehensive concept to fully develop performance in the field of human rights.
Judge Mujahid Ahmed explained that the Justice Ministry and Human Rights' merger will enhance the effectiveness of performance and national integration in the implementation of the tasks assigned to it, emphasizing the keenness to exercise the tasks related to human rights and the continuation of the procedures according to the specified tasks until the approval of the new regulations.
