SANA'A August 26. 2024 (Saba) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Jamal Ahmed Amer, discussed with Acting Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration Office, Matt Hooper, the most important projects implemented by the mission in Yemen.
In the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates explained that the direction of the Government of Change and Construction, based on the directives of the senior leadership, emphasizes the importance of providing all facilities for the work of the United Nations and its organizations, agencies and programs operating in Yemen in accordance with the organizing and agreed upon rules.
He pointed to a number of issues that need to be addressed by the IOM mission, including the repeated protests by a number of migrants.
Minister Amer stressed the importance of the mission playing its role in intensifying its efforts to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the displaced, especially in Hodeida governorate.
