TEHRAN August 21. 2024 (Saba) -The Iranian foreign ministry on Wednesday criticized the common statement issued by the Australian and New Zealand prime ministers on the crisis in West Asia.
The statement dealt with a part of facts only, but ignored other key facts, spokesman for the ministry said, noting that the call for ceasefire in Gaza, protection of civilians and urgent delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to people of the Strip is a global demand which the international community needs to force Israel to accept.
The common statement shows again the double standard adopted by such countries in relation to the human rights, international law and development in the region, Nasser Kanani added in remarks carried by Tasnim.
Overt and covert support over ten months of genocidal war emboldens the entity to commit further crimes against the Palestinian wronged people, he said.
