SANA'A August 17. 2024 (Saba)– The special parliamentary committee, appointed by the parliament to address member observations on the Government of Change and Construction’s program, convened on Saturday evening, chaired by deputy speaker Abdulsalam Hashoul.
Hashoul welcomed First Deputy Prime Minister scholar Mohammed Meftah and his team, highlighting the importance of unified efforts and collaboration between parliament and government.
He commended the government's swift preparation and submission of its program, noting that incorporating member feedback would enhance the program and draw on past experiences.
Hashoul also emphasized the role of media in aligning with the revolutionary leadership's directives, fostering national unity, and supporting institutional work while avoiding divisive disputes.
Parliament Deputy Speaker Abdulrahman al-Jamali underscored the need for the program to focus on boosting investment, local manufacturing, and agricultural development.
Al-Jamali advocated for a comprehensive plan to promote local products, advance higher education and vocational training, and address cybercrime legislation.
In return, Meftah expressed gratitude to the committee for their attention to the members' feedback, affirming the value of their contributions to refining the government's program.
