WASHINGTON August 09. 2024 (Saba) - The US State Department has said that a ceasefire in Gaza would significantly reduce tensions in the region.

A ministry statement last night said Washington focused on trying to persuade all parties in the region not to take further steps to escalate the conflict.

The State Department stressed that escalating the conflict could damage Iran's economy.
