TEHRAN August 09. 2024 (Saba) - In a congratulatory message to Hamas Political Bureau Chief Yahya Sinwar, Brig. Gen. Ismail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, emphasized on Friday that avenging the blood of the martyred leader Ismail Haniyeh is a duty.
Qaani assured al-Sinwar that the Islamic Republic of Iran would continue to support the resistance and intensify the impact of its actions against the occupation, aiming for the eventual dissolution of the Zionist entity.
He offered condolences and congratulations on Haniyeh's martyrdom, praising him as a courageous leader and a unifying force in the Islamic world.
Qaani also commended al-Sinwar’s election as head of the Hamas Political Bureau, highlighting it as a testament to Hamas’s resilience and leadership.
He noted that this choice demonstrates Hamas’s ongoing commitment to its cause and its readiness to continue its struggle with a capable leader at the helm.
Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader for international affairs, echoed these sentiments, stating that al-Sinwar’s election reflects a strengthened determination to persist in resistance and liberation efforts.
The Iranian leadership has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a severe response to the assassination of Haniyeh, viewing it as a national duty to avenge his death.
