TAIZ August 07. 2024 (Saba) - The office of the General Authority of Zakat in Taiz Governorate on Wednesday provided financial assistance to those affected by the floods in Maqbanah district.
This came during the field visit of the Director of the Zakat Office, Shawky Mughlas, along with the Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, Brigadier General Saleh Hajib, and the Director General of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Initiatives Financing Unit, Mohamed Heba, to the affected areas in the directorate.
The director of the office explained that the aid included citizens whose homes and properties were damaged, and the families of the missing and deceased due to the floods.
Mughlas pointed out that the provision of this assistance comes within the framework of the emergency response project for the families most affected by rain and flood disasters in the district.
Field committees have been formed to inventory and assess flood damage in the directorate, he said, and submit them to the General Authority of Zakat to contribute to providing the necessary assistance.
