RAMALLAH August 03. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy forces late on Friday and early on Saturday arrested at least 30 Palestinian citizens from the occupied West Bank, including two journalists, in addition to children and former prisoners.
The arrests took place in the governorates of Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Tulkarm, Hebron, Tubas, and Quds, in addition to carrying out attacks and threats against detainees and their families, and vandalizing and destroying citizens' homes and properties, the Prisoners Club and the Commission of Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Affairs said in a joint statement.
The statement indicated that the total number of arrests after October 7th amounted to more than (9920), and this number includes those who were arrested from their homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
It explained that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent fixed and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and they are also one of the most prominent tools of the policy of (collective punishment), which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
