Donetsk-Saba:
Igor Kymakovsky, an advisor to the Donetsk People's Government, announced that the Ukrainian army attempted to hold onto the village of Shevchenko, located on the border of Donetsk and the Dnipropetrovsk region, at all costs, due to the presence of one of Ukraine's largest lithium deposits.
The Russian news agency TASS quoted Kymakovsky as saying: "Shevchenko is another village containing a lithium deposit. This was one of the reasons the Ukrainian army desperately held on to the village. The Ukrainian Armed Forces sent large numbers of soldiers to defend it, and most of them were eventually killed."
It is worth noting that the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday, June 26, the liberation of the villages of Novosergeivka and Shevchenko in the Donetsk People's Republic.
