GAZA July 31. 2024 (Saba) - Various Palestinian resistance factions and their military wings mourned the loss of Sayyed Fouad Shukr, also known as Sayyed Mohsen, a key jihadist leader in Hezbollah.
Shukr was praised for his significant contributions to the resistance efforts and his martyrdom on the path to al-Quds.
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, honored Shukr in a statement, recognizing his pivotal role in supporting the Palestinian resistance during the Battle of al-Qasa Flood and in building a unified front against Zionist occupation.
The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine expressed deep condolences to Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and lauded Shukr's efforts in bolstering the resistance against Zionist forces.
The Brigades reaffirmed their confidence in Lebanon's ability to deter enemy aggression and pledged continued support for Lebanon and its people.
Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades also mourned Shukr, describing him as a beacon on the path to al-Quds. They emphasized that the blood of martyrs like Shukr would ignite a fire against Zionist leaders and settlers.
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement conveyed heartfelt condolences to Hezbollah and the Lebanese people, highlighting Shukr's long-standing jihadist career and his pivotal role in confronting the Zionist enemy, particularly in supporting Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned Shukr’s assassination, seeing it as a provocative act aimed at igniting regional conflicts. They stressed that the crime would not go unpunished and praised Shukr's dedication to defending Palestinian rights.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine hailed Shukr as a steadfast fighter whose efforts significantly weakened the enemy. They called on global solidarity with the resistance and urged actions against the Zionist occupation.
In their statements, all factions emphasized that the martyrdom of leaders like Shukr would only strengthen the resolve of the resistance and hasten the defeat of the Zionist entity.
In a statement, it stressed that this targeting of the martyr "and those who preceded him and those who will follow him will only increase our determination and steadfastness" to continue on the path of the martyrs in struggle and fighting until the liberation of "all our Palestinian national soil and the restoration of our people to all their usurped rights and the restoration of the occupied Arab lands in Lebanon and Syria."
In its statement, it addressed the Lebanese people and Hezbollah with a salute to the souls of "those who illuminated with their blood the path of freedom and independence on the path of honor, the path of al-Quds," and a salute to the arms that are still pressing the trigger until freedom is achieved and the occupation is defeated.
