BAGHDAD July 31. 2024 (Saba) - Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance in Iraq, has expressed his condolences following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
In his statement, al-Hakim emphasized that the assassination will not weaken the resolve of the Palestinian people in their pursuit of victory for their cause.
Al-Hakim stated, "We share the grief and mourning with our patient and oppressed Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance movements for the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, who was assassinated by the treacherous Israeli hand after targeting his residence in Tehran."
He further condemned the criminal act, asserting, "These criminal practices of the occupying entity are too weak to weaken the resolve of our Palestinian people. The blood of the martyrs and the sacrifices of the sacrificers are the fuel for their journey filled with pride and honor."
Al-Hakim called on the international community to take action against the Israeli entity and expressed his hope for continued determination among Haniyeh's comrades to achieve victory for the Palestinian cause.
