IBB July 30. 2024 (Saba) - The Environmental Health Department at the Public Works and Roads Office in Ibb Governorate launched on Tuesday a campaign to prevent acute watery diarrhoea diseases.
The campaign, which lasts several days, aims to ensure the compliance of restaurants, bakeries, pastry and beverage factories, cafeterias, stations, factories and water factories with health requirements.
At the inauguration, the Director General of the Works Office in the governorate, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, explained that the campaign comes within the framework of the emergency response plan to reduce and control acute watery diarrhea. He stressed the need to unite efforts to limit and prevent the spread of the epidemic.
Eng. Al-Shami stated that the field teams are evaluating and correcting the conditions of the targeted facilities, and obliging them to apply health requirements to ensure the safety of food and water used.
For his part, the Director of Environmental Health - Campaign Supervisor - Dr. Walid Obaid explained that the campaign also includes the implementation of awareness programs on the importance of hygiene and the dangers of watery diarrhea diseases and ways to prevent them.
