TUNISIA July 30. 2024 (Saba) - Tunis on Monday started the presidential elections' candidacy stage that will last until 6th of next August.

File admission to participate in this political race begins on 29 July and ends on 6 August, chairman of the independent supreme authority for elections said at press conference, with the elections commencing on 7 October.

The authority will decide on the candidacies by the tenth of next August, and will advise the stakeholders and publish a list of initially-approved candidates on the next day, i.e. the 11th of August, Farouk abu Askar added.

Demands to withdraw will be considered on the 2nd of September, and the authority will declare the names of final candidates the next day, on 3 September, he told reporters.
