IBB July 28. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting at Ibb University on Sunday, headed by university rector Dr. Nasr al-Hajili discussed the completion of the evaluation of postgraduate programs with a doctoral course and updating their description.
The meeting reviewed the executive work mechanism for the program evaluation and description document by Dean of the Center for Development and Quality Assurance Dr. Ibrahim Haidara, his deputy, Dr. Mohammed al-Qawas and Dr. Walid Al-Yafei.
In the meeting, the university rector stressed that the process of evaluating and updating the description of old and modern postgraduate programs is an introduction to submitting them for academic accreditation, translating the university's strategy and keeping pace with the ambitions of the national vision to build the modern Yemeni state.
He pointed out that Ibb University is keen to adhere to the necessary standards for opening any new programs and updating the description of each program and subjecting it to the evaluation and assessment process periodically.
Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Fouad Hassan explained that the next phase will witness the completion of the description of ten doctoral programs based on the thesis and two research papers system, and updating the description of old programs in the master's and doctoral courses.
He explained that the description of the new programs will be completed through a timed work plan that will be implemented by the Vice Deanship for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, the Center for Development and Quality Assurance, and the Vice Deanship for Graduate Studies in the relevant colleges, starting from the workshop scheduled to be implemented early next week.
