Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are likely to fall on Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Sana'a, Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah, and Saada.
Scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is also expected over parts of the governorates of Al Dhale'a, Al Bayda, the highlands of Lahj and Abyan, western Al Jawf, and the Tihama Plain.
It reported that the amount of rain that fell over the past 24 hours, as measured at meteorological stations in Hodeida-Al Kadan, was 8.4 mm, Hajjah: 4 mm, Mahwit: 0.7 mm, and Raymah: 0.3 mm.
Scattered rains of varying intensity fell outside the stations in parts of the governorates of Taiz, Amran, Dhamar, Sana'a, and the Tihama Plain.
The center warned citizens against being in or crossing flood channels and valleys during and after the rains, and against thunderstorms and lightning, advising them to follow safety measures.
It also warned drivers of poor visibility due to low clouds and rainfall, especially on mountain roads.
