TEHRAN July 25. 2024 (Saba) -The Iranian foreign ministry on Wednesday summoned the German ambassador to Tehran, Hans Odo Motzel, to protest the closure of some Islamic centers by the German police.
After the German police had closed a number of Islamic centers, the ministry's director-general for West Europe affairs summoned the German envoy, Tasnim said.
At a meeting, the ambassador was advised on Iran's protest to the "hostile measure that contradicts established bases of human rights," the Iranian news agency added.
The move clearly reflects hostility to Islam and challenge to Ibrahimi religions' teachings, the director told the envoy, noting that the Islamic centers offer valuable services for the public.
The German diplomat promised to convey the stances discussed at the meeting to his country's relevant officials.
