OCCUPIED AL-QUDS - On Tuesday, Zionist authorities compelled a Palestinian citizen to demolish his own house in the occupied city of al-Quds.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, Khalil Kabaja, a resident of the Al-Tur neighborhood east of Jerusalem, was instructed to demolish his two-story, under-construction home.
The authorities warned that if Kabaja did not comply, they would demolish the house themselves and charge him for the costs.
The authorities surrounded the property, blocking access to journalists and other citizens. This follows a pattern of aggressive demolition operations in the area, with Zionist forces conducting 20 demolitions in Jerusalem just yesterday.
Al-Quds province reported that in the past year, 292 demolition operations were carried out, including 73 where owners were forced to demolish their own properties.
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission added that during the first half of 2024, 318 facilities were demolished in the occupied West Bank, with 359 others receiving demolition notices, and approximately 10,000 trees uprooted.
