TOKYO July 23. 2024 (Saba) - Japan is set to impose its first sanctions targeting Zionist settlers in the occupied West Bank, according to a report by the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation on Tuesday.
These sanctions involve freezing the assets of settlers identified for their involvement in violent acts against Palestinians. Although the Commission did not specify the number of affected settlers, the Zionist newspaper “Israel Hayom” named Yanon Levy, Zvi Bar-Yosef, Moshe Sharvit, and Naria Ben Bazi as those subject to the sanctions.
This move follows similar actions by the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, which have already imposed sanctions on settlers in response to escalating violence amid the broader Zionist aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2024.
The European Union has also condemned the persistent extremist violence committed by settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The EU has pledged to continue implementing restrictive measures against those involved in such activities.
