SANA'A July 22. 2024 (Saba) - Sheikh Naji Abdulaziz al-Shayef, the Sheikh of Bakil tribe, has strongly condemned the recent Zionist aggression targeting civilian objects and installations at the port of Hodeida, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of several citizens.
In a statement, Sheikh al-Shayef declared “This blatant aggression against our country adds to the Zionist orgy in the region and the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people. It violates all international and humanitarian laws and norms, and United Nations resolutions, constituting a flagrant and unacceptable violation of Yemeni sovereignty.”
Sheikh al-Shayef emphasized the unwavering support of the Yemeni tribes for the Palestinian people's struggle and their legitimate resistance against the Zionist occupation until all their rights are achieved. He noted that this is the principled and consistent stance of all Yemeni people.
He added, “We stress the unity of the national ranks in confronting the Zionist aggression against Yemen and all those who support it. We will, God willing, stand united with our Yemeni army in facing this hateful Zionist enemy.”
The statement affirmed that “the criminal Zionist enemy seeks, through its aggression against Yemen and its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, to ignite a comprehensive war in the region and destabilize the security and stability of its people and the world.” It highlighted that “the Yemeni people, in all their segments, tribes, and national leaders, stand united in defending the homeland, its security, and its sovereignty.”
Sheikh Al-Shayef also warned those who support the Zionist enemy or align with it in word or deed, considering this a departure from moral, religious, national, and humanitarian values.
