WASHINGTON July 22, 2024 (Saba) - The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump late on Saturday announced his willingness to participate in a debate with Vice President Kamala or any other Democratic candidate.

“I don’t know who I will debate with,” Trump said when American media asked him if he was ready to debate Harris.

"It has not been determined who will be on this side yet, but I think I would like to have a debate with anyone," he added.

This comes against the backdrop of US President Joe Biden's announcement on Sunday that he will step down from the upcoming presidential race in November, and move to focus on his duties as president until the end of his term, while announcing his support for his deputy, Kamala Harris, to become the Democratic Party's candidate in the upcoming elections.
