Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Brigadier General Pilot Aziz Nasirzadeh, affirmed that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic are in a state of high readiness to confront any enemy threats.
According to Iran’s official news agency (IRNA), this statement was made during a meeting on Wednesday of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), which was attended by both Defense Minister Nasirzadeh and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, as reported by committee spokesperson Ebrahim Rezaei.
Rezaei explained that during the session, the ministers presented detailed reports on the measures taken by their respective ministries in response to the Zionist-American aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The defense minister emphasized that Iran’s armed forces possess extensive capabilities enabling them to effectively counter all forms of aggression and maintain full readiness.
According to Rezaei, the session also highlighted that the Islamic Republic has strategic partners whose support and capabilities could be leveraged if necessary.
Regarding Foreign Minister Araqchi’s remarks, Rezaei conveyed that Iran remains committed to its principles and will not retreat from its red lines.
He added that the foreign minister emphasized the alignment of diplomatic actions with military operations during the recent war, demonstrating the coordination between the diplomatic front and the battlefield.
The committee spokesperson also stated that the meeting stressed the importance of utilizing all national diplomatic capacities, especially those within the government and parliament, to support the battlefield and expose the Zionist aggression. It also included warnings to countries that cooperated with the Zionist regime during the recent war, particularly those that allowed it to use their airspace.
Lastly, Rezaei noted that committee members called for the cessation of all forms of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in response to recent developments.
