IBB July 15. 2024 (Saba) - The branch of the Public Authority for Rural Water Projects in Ibb Governorate received on Monday three water projects in the districts of Al-Saddah and Yareem from the implementing authority.
The projects costing 69 million and 334 thousand riyals funded by the Central Emergency Intervention Unit at the Ministry of Finance included the supply, transportation, installation and operation of solar-powered pumping units for the Beit Fatiq water projects in the uzlah of Jabal Essam and below Bani Al-Harith in Al-Saddah district and the Jabal Iryab water project and neighboring shops in Yareem district, benefiting 11,400 people.
The director of the branch of the Rural Water Projects Authority in the governorate, Eng. Majid Al-Shami, stressed the importance of these projects to alleviate the suffering of the people of rural areas in light of the current conditions that the country is going through due to the continued aggression and blockade.
He explained that the team assigned by the authority and the branch supervised the delivery of projects to the beneficiary committees to manage their operation after completing their implementation in accordance with engineering specifications and standards, represented in the supply, transportation, installation and operation of a solar-powered pumping unit.
Al-Shami pointed to the keenness of the leadership of the Rural Water Projects Authority to implement solar water projects to create clean and clean drinking water for citizens, especially in rural areas.
Meanwhile, the directors of Al-Saddah Directorate, Mohamed Al-Darwani and Yareem Mohamed Al-Khaled, pointed to the importance of water projects using solar energy to cover the existing deficit in providing water to the residents of the targeted areas.
They praised the efforts of the Central Emergency Intervention Unit at the Ministry of Finance and the Rural Water Authority in paying attention to water projects that touch the needs of several areas in the two districts.
