SANA'A July 14. 2024 (Saba) -The House of Representatives, in its session held on Sunday under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Council, Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i, reviewed the report of the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Committee on the continued and increasing flow of refugees and illegal migrants from the countries of the Horn of Africa to the territory of the Republic of Yemen.
The report included the measures taken by the committee, its field visits, its communications to the concerned authorities, clarifications of the National Committee for Refugees, the current situation of migrants and refugees, the role of the National Committee for Refugees, the most prominent difficulties and challenges facing the Committee, and the solutions and remedies proposed by the National Committee for Refugees.
The report concluded with a number of observations and recommendations reached by the Committee.
The Council postponed the completion of its discussion of the report to a future session in the presence of the competent government side.
In the presence of the Minister of State for Parliamentary and Shura Council Affairs in the caretaker government, Dr. Ali Abdel Allah Abu Halaiqa, the Council completed its review of a brief report on its work for the previous period.
