SANA'A July 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Electricity and Energy Minister in the caretaker government, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, and the Governor of Sana’a, Abdul Basit Al-Hadi, inaugurated the electrical network in Al-Karaa region, and it was installed in Ayal Muhammad in Bani Hashish District in Sana’a Province.
At the opening, which was attended by the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Sana'a Province, Abdul Qadir Al-Jilani, the President of the General Corporation for Electrical Industries and Renewable Energy, Abdul-Ghani Al-Madani, and the Vice President of the Rural Electricity Authority for Technical Affairs, Engineer Mutahar Al-Sharabi, the Minister of Electricity pointed out the importance of this network implemented by the General Authority for Rural Electricity to provide electricity services to citizens in the district and alleviate their suffering.
In addition, the Electricity Minister and Sana'a Governor laid the foundation stone for the project to establish Bani Hashish power station to generate electricity with the hybrid system with a capacity of 500 kilowatts, which will be implemented in three phases at a cost of 675 million riyals, and the project will be implemented by the General Corporation for Electrical Industries.
Minister Al-Bukhaiti and Governor Al-Hadi appreciated the interaction of sheikhs, social figures , citizens in Bani Hashish District and their keenness to facilitate the work of the technical teams to implement these electrical projects for all villages and areas of Bani Hashish.
They were accompanied by the Director of Renewable Energy at the Electrical Industries Corporation, Engineer Waid Al-Akhali, the Director of Rural Electricity Authority Branch in Sana’a Province, Muhammad Al-Rajhi, and Sheikh Khaled Qahdan.
