GAZA July 10. 2024 (Saba) - The military correspondent for the Zionist website “Walla”, Amir Bohbot, revealed that the state of alert in the occupied West Bank has been heightened for fear of attacks.
The website indicated that the “Erez” crossing battalion of the military police, which forms the security belt between the West Bank and Jerusalem, has reported in recent months a continuous increase in the scope of attempts to infiltrate “Israel” and smuggle weapons.
According to the deputy commander of the company of the “Erez” battalion, Lieutenant Moran Bohnik, there are an average of about 2,000 cases of suspicious seizures per month at the crossings in its sector, compared to about 500 before October 7, while estimates indicate that there will be more attempts to infiltrate “Israel” from the West Bank next month.
"Although attention is focused on the fighting in the north and south, we feel the pressure on the Palestinian territories," said the deputy company commander of the Erez Battalion, adding, "We see an increase in infiltration attempts."
