MOSCOW July 06. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that its forces liberated the town of Sokol, which is affiliated with the Donetsk People's Republic.
The ministry said in its daily report on the progress of the special military operation: Units of the Russian forces, as a result of active operations, liberated the town of Sokol, which is affiliated with the Donetsk People's Republic, and improved the tactical situation in the region, explaining that its forces repelled counterattacks and improved their positions in a number of combat axes and inflicted heavy losses on the Ukrainian forces in lives and equipment.
The Russian tactical operational aviation, drones, missile forces and artillery destroyed a lighting and guidance radar, a low-altitude detection device and two launchers for the S-300PS anti-aircraft missile system, and also hit an oil refinery, a fuel storage facility, an aviation weapons depot and a drone runway, in addition to gatherings of human forces and equipment for the Ukrainian forces in 127 points.
