Brussels – Saba:
The European Union (EU) on Friday called for an end to aggressions by Zionist settlers against Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the EU said the situation in the occupied West Bank is rapidly deteriorating.
The statement added that recent days have seen a significant escalation in settler violence, acts of intimidation, and the destruction of Palestinian homes and properties, including the martyrdom of three citizens in Kafr Malik near Ramallah last Wednesday.
The EU's statement urged the Israeli entity to take concrete measures to prevent settler violence against Palestinians and ensure accountability for perpetrators of these crimes, given the current difficult situation.
The European Union reiterated that Zionist settlements are illegal under international law and constitute an obstacle to peace.
