LAHJ July 06. 2024 (Saba) - Director of Community Initiatives in Lahj province, Ibrahim Hamim, and Engineer Badr al-Din al-Tayyar, representing the Central Emergency Interventions Unit in al-Qabaitah district, assessed the progress of community initiative projects in roads and water.
These projects, supported by the Interventions Unit, encompass 18 vital initiatives including paving, wall construction, road widening, ditch rehabilitation, and ferry renovation, aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving access to essential services for local communities.
Hamim, al-Tayyar, and al-Qabaitah district Director Waheed al-Khader also reviewed water tank projects under the community initiatives. The unit approved and supported 180 projects with cement for irrigation tank construction.
The Director of Community Initiatives in Lahj Province commended the Central Interventions Unit for its support of community initiatives, aligning with directives from the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council to advance local development plans and foster comprehensive growth.
He highlighted road projects approved in the province's initial phase.
The Central Interventions Unit representative in the district confirmed that the field visit was conducted under the directives of Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, to expedite interventions and support development projects in Lahj Province, recognizing its urgent needs and challenges.
