MAHWEET July 06. 2024 (Saba) - The Office of the General Authority for Zakat in Mahweet province has initiated its fourth mass wedding project, benefiting 264 couples with a total sum of 105,600,000 riyals. The project operates under the theme "Together to Strengthen Youth and Combat Soft Warfare."
During the launch ceremony, Hamid al-Radmi, Director General of the Authority's office in the province, clarified that the commencement of financial aid distribution for beneficiaries of the Fourth Wedding Project encompasses youth from impoverished families, the wounded, disabled individuals, children of martyrs, and those with special needs across the governorate's districts. Distribution is facilitated through the governorate's main post office and its branch offices.
He highlighted that this collective wedding initiative aligns with directives from the Revolution's Leader to safeguard youth and exemplify values of empathy and social solidarity. It was noted that this year's collective wedding focused solely on providing financial assistance to newlyweds, foregoing celebratory events in solidarity with Gaza.
The grooms expressed their gratitude to the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the General Authority for Zakat's leadership for their care towards the underprivileged, the needy, and those with special needs.
