GAZA June 26. 2024 (Saba) - The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor confirmed today, Tuesday, that the Zionist enemy deliberately bombs and kills the displaced persons' shelters in the Gaza Strip under the flag of the United Nations.
The Observatory said in a statement today, Tuesday: It documented the intensification of the Zionist enemy's bombing of the shelters on the heads of the displaced persons inside them and targeting the areas declared as humanitarian areas in insistence on imposing forced displacement and destroying all the basic necessities of life.
He added: The Zionist enemy forces are escalating the bombing of civilian objects and the mass killing of civilians and targeting the UN refugee centers, and committing mass murders in them.
He continued: "Tracing the methodology of the Zionist bombing indicates the existence of a clear policy aimed at stripping the entire Gaza Strip of security and depriving the Palestinians of shelter or stability, even momentarily, through the continuation of the bombing across the Strip and focusing on targeting the shelters in the UN schools."
The Observatory indicated that it documented four attacks since dawn on Tuesday against shelters, in addition to the destruction of several homes over the heads of their residents, which led to dozens of martyrs and wounded, most of whom were women and children.
Euro-Mediterranean stressed that the expansion of the scope of targeting shelters flying the UN flag and homes housing displaced persons demonstrates the invalidity of the Zionist justifications and that the bombing violates the principles of distinction, necessity, proportionality and taking necessary precautions.
It indicated that the repeated attacks on UN buildings and the killing of displaced persons inside them, in addition to their destruction and burning, is a blatant challenge to international humanitarian law and constitutes war crimes in and of themselves.
The human rights center renewed its call for all countries to assume their international responsibilities by imposing effective sanctions on "Israel" and stopping all forms of political, financial and military support and cooperation provided to it.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor urged the International Criminal Court to continue investigating all crimes committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip, and to expand the scope of investigation into individual criminal responsibility for these crimes to include all those responsible, and to issue arrest warrants against them.
