SA'ADA June 25. 2024 (Saba) - Governor Mohammed Awad chaired a meeting on Tuesday in Sa'ada province to discuss preparations for opening of the community college.
The session, attended by Taher Sharaf Abu Talib, Director of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Office in the province, and Dr. Issam Abu Dunya, Dean of the Community College - Sa'ada, focused on addressing hurdles that have delayed the college's opening.
Governor Awad emphasized the pivotal role the community college will play in training and developing skilled professionals across various technical fields.
He underscored that the college will significantly contribute to supplying the labor market with competent graduates, affirming the province's commitment to providing full support for the college's operations.
The meeting concluded with several recommendations, foremost among them the urgent construction of a dedicated building for the community college and the ongoing rehabilitation of its existing facilities damaged during previous periods of aggression.
Participants stressed the imperative for the Ministry of Finance to expedite approval of the budget proposed by the provincial authority, endorsed by the Presidency of the Republic, to enable the college's dean to initiate operations in the academic year 2024-2025 AD.
This move aims to ensure that the province's residents benefit from enrollment in specialized programs meeting both local and international labor market demands.
