BAKU June 24. 2024 (Saba) - Three Azerbaijani policemen killed in shooting in capital Baku.

Azerbaijani police said on Tuesday that a gunman opened fire at policemen, adding that the attacker, Ruvshanullah Verdiev, had been liquidated and a criminal case had been opened in the incident.

For its part, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said that the perpetrator "has a record and has been convicted of several previous crimes."

It said the attacker was wanted by police and used a hunting rifle in his crime and was from the village of Shovilan in the capital Baku.
