Ramallah - Saba:

The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs announced in its monthly report that the Israeli enemy escalated its violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites during the month of June, most notably the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque.

The report, released on Thursday, indicated that the enemy and its settlers carried out more than 25 raids on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, including the performance of Talmudic rituals. The mosque was also closed 11 times and worshippers were prevented from entering under the pretext of the "security situation." The number of worshippers inside the mosque was also limited, and dangerous Judaization measures were imposed on the Old City and the Dome of the Rock.

The report indicated that thousands of worshippers performed Eid al-Adha prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque amid severe restrictions, while occupation soldiers and settlers stormed the Dome of the Rock courtyards during the prayer, and settlers performed public rituals of singing, dancing, and clapping.

Regarding the Ibrahimi Mosque, Israeli authorities banned the call to prayer 89 times during June, closed it to worshippers and visitors for 12 consecutive days, and refused to hand it over on Eid al-Adha and the anniversary of the Prophet's migration.

The report also documented the installation of alarm devices in the mosque's corridors, the presence of a number of Israeli soldiers on its roof, the illumination of its walls with Israeli flags, the closing of its eastern gate, and the forcible lighting of the surrounding area.

The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments asserted that these measures constitute a blatant assault on its authority, an infringement on the sanctity of the Ibrahimi Mosque, a provocation of Muslim sentiments, and an attempt to impose a temporal and spatial division on it.

In the same context, the report documented Israeli forces closing the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Quds to Christian worshippers for 11 consecutive days, and storming the Great Salahi Mosque in Nablus and searching its entire facilities, including the rooms and the mosque's roof.

The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments called on the international community, human rights organizations, and religious institutions to take urgent action to stop these ongoing violations that violate freedom of worship and threaten the historical and legal status quo at holy sites.
