Gaza - Saba:
Israeli soldiers revealed on Thursday that they had lost confidence in what they were doing in the Gaza Strip during one phase of the war, indicating that they could no longer tolerate participating in new military operations inside the Strip.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz quoted reserve soldiers as saying, "We can no longer tolerate going on another operation in Gaza and returning to the same areas." They emphasized that what is happening is not achieving any results, except for repeatedly putting their lives in danger. They also emphasized that "it is clear to any rational person that the continuation of the war in the Gaza Strip is for political reasons."
The soldiers added, "Every time we get closer to a tunnel opening, we think, 'What if the intelligence is wrong and there are no prisoners?'"
