BAYDA June 12, 2024 (Saba) - The governors of Bayda and Abyan Abdullah Idris and Saleh al-Junaidi and the head of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Nasr al-Din Amer briefed on Wednesday in Bayda city on the construction work that has been completed at the site of fencing the central station to operate the water project with solar energy, at a cost of $92,000, with a completion rate of 20 percent.
Idris, al-Junaidi and Amer listened to an explanation from those concerned about the work that had been carried out at the site of fencing the central station to operate the water project with solar energy.
They inspected the components of Jabal al-Ahmadi reservoir project with a capacity of one thousand cubic liters at a cost of 200 thousand dollars, with a completion rate of 30 percent, and a water network of different diameters, pumping lines, and a liquefaction network, and ancillary works, including supports, excavations, inspection rooms, valves, and home connections for more than four thousand and 700 homes.
Idris stressed the necessity of implementing the project according to the engineering specifications and the specified time period, pointing to the importance of the project, which will contribute to providing drinking water and meeting the needs of citizens.
He pointed out the need to raise community awareness to conserve water and rationalize use.
Amer praised the efforts of the leadership of Bayda and the local authority and the integration of efforts with the people of the Rural and Bayda city districts to secure water sources for the project from the wells available in the water basin.
He appreciated the interest of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council in implementing service and development projects and supporting community initiatives to improve services and alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the current conditions imposed by the aggression and siege.
At the same time, Amer praised the development and service role of the Social Fund in implementing many projects in various regions, urging the implementation of the project in accordance with the agreed upon technical and engineering specifications.
