BAGHDAD June 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Iraqi National Security Service, in collaboration with international coalition forces, had announced the elimination of an ISIS leader in Syria.
According to a statement from the Iraqi News Agency, the operation was conducted by detachments of the Anti-Terrorism Cell following precise intelligence.
The ISIS leader, responsible for trafficking weapons and explosives across the border, was tracked and engaged in a clash in the Al-Busayrah area of Raqqa, Syria, where he was subsequently killed.
The security service highlighted the terrorist's affiliation with Al-Abra units on the Iraqi-Syrian border and his involvement in attacks on security forces in the islands of Salah al-Din and al-Baaj.
