HODEIDA June 09. 2024 (Saba) - Nine fishermen returned to the fish landing center in Al-Salif District in Hodeida Province after months of kidnapping and torture in the prisons of the Saudi aggression.
Upon their return and reception, the fishermen explained that while they were practicing fishing in Yemeni waters off Dhu Harab Island and after changing the engine of their boat, a Saudi aggression patrol kidnapped them and took them to its prisons in Jizan region under force of arms.
They reported that the Saudi patrol used provocative , humiliating methods against them, raised weapons against them, and confiscated the quantities of game they had in their possession, which they had caught during several days of the fishing trip, in addition to sums of money imposed on them, which they paid under duress during the period of imprisonment.
They confirmed that they were subjected to various types of torture and ill-treatment.
