Hodeida first undersecretary Ahmed al-Bishri on Thursday inspected the progress of the restoration and resurfacing project on Palestine Street in Hodeida city.
Funded by the Road Maintenance Fund to repair flood damage, the 900-meter project from the Clock Roundabout to Sana'a Street intersection has an estimated cost of 250 million Y.R.
Project managers explained the ongoing phases and technical procedures, noting a 70 percent completion rate.
Al-Bishri emphasized the project's importance in improving city infrastructure and easing citizens' difficulties due to past flood damage.
He praised the Road Maintenance Fund's support for infrastructure projects in the governorate, including work on other vital streets, and highlighted the local leadership's prioritization of road projects for their direct service and economic impact.
