The Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses in the capital's districts, along with district executive committees, on Thursday organized training workshops for scout teams involved in summer schools across Sana'a.
Seventy-nine trainees learned about the scouting movement, its principles, structure, traditions, skills, team formation, and participation in cultural, sports, and scouting activities.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Abdullah al-Razihi, Scout Commissioner in the capital, Ali Shamlan, and Deputy Director of School Activities, Abdullah Al-Madani, observed the workshops.
They emphasized the importance of scouting in developing youth skills, promoting values, Quranic culture, and faith identity, as well as its role in community service and awareness.
They also highlighted the significance of these workshops in qualifying scout teams according to established principles, through coordination between the Ministries of Youth and Sports and Education, to enhance their participation in community-serving programs.
