TAIZ June 09. 2024 (Saba) - Member of the Supreme Political Council Sultan al-Samaie on Sunday engaged in discussions with acting governor of Taiz, Ahmed al-Musawa, regarding ongoing efforts to establish accessible roadways connecting the eastern sector of Taiz city with its central areas.

Commending the concerted endeavors of local authorities, including the acting governor and leaders from executive, military, and security domains, Al-Samaie emphasized their role in fostering reconciliation and bolstering trust among the populace of the province. Such initiatives, he noted, are directed towards realizing citizens' aspirations and advancing public welfare, free from external influences.

Al-Musawa underscored that active arrangements are currently underway to ensure the thoroughfare of roads, facilitating citizens' movement to and from the heart of Taiz city. He elaborated on the cooperative endeavors from both sides, indicating progress in road preparation efforts.

Specific routes targeted for enhancement include al-Hawban - People's Palace - al-Kamb - Province corridor, tailored for citizen and light transportation, alongside the 60 St, 50 St, al-Noor city road, designated for heavy and medium transportation.

In a separate development, Al-Musawa's comprehensive review of development and service projects in the province revealed a predominant focus on road infrastructure. Out of the 52 projects assessed, 38 were centered on road development, with the remaining 14 distributed across water, education, and health sectors. The cumulative value of these endeavors amounted to 925 million and 176 thousand Yemeni Y.R.

Of significant note is the pivotal contribution of the Central Emergency Interventions Unit, injecting 385 million and 26 thousand Y.R into these projects. This financial commitment signals a substantial investment aimed at bolstering infrastructure and essential services, ultimately uplifting the standard of living for the province's residents.
